Thanks for telling us about this, ElegantExcalibur.

Well, everyone knows that a few hours before Toontown closed, an error showed up on many people's screens.  It said:

"Could not connect to
gameserver-lv.toontown.com:6667.
Try again?"

Many people thought that Disney had shut down Toontown early so they wouldn't have to disconnect/delete all the Toons online- so did I.  However, this post www.toontowncentral.com/forums… tells us different:

"I called and talked to the people at Toontown at about 8:30am (Pacific) and I truly believe that they didn't do it intentionally. The woman I spoke to sounded very distraught, she said 'I know about the problem, we can't log in, either.' Her voice was shaking and she was sniffling. It sounded like she was crying. She told me that they had come to work and found they couldn't log in and the players couldn't either. She said 'We absolutely did NOT turn the servers off early.'. And because I heard the tone in her voice - I believe her. They wanted to and were trying to bring it back up for us, but weren't able to."  (Originally posted by Jellyroll_Ruffletoon)

What do you think happened?  Was it hackers, Disney just faking their sorrow, or simply a fatal error in the severs?  O_o

Nevertheless, it's out of our hands now.  Even if we did know, it wouldn't bring Toontown back, sadly.  :-/

I think that, maybe, some hackers might have got into the game. We all know that Lefty, Atomicman and those kind of people were large hackers of the game, maybe they thought they'd say some 'last goodbyes'. I hope that wasn't the case, some of the videos of theirs I've watched weren't that bad.
